NONTHEWISERは、90年代のカリフォルニア・パンクロック・シーンから愛する要素をすべて取り入れ、自らのスカンジナビアのルーツと融合させている。生み出されるのは、思わずシンガロングし体を動かさずにはいられない、高速で激しくメロディックなパンクロックだ。
ダークで叙情的な歌詞のテーマと、一度聴いたら頭から離れないメロディ。2023年にセルフタイトルのデビューアルバムをリリースした際、バンドは高い評価を獲得した。楽曲の持つ凄まじい熱量はそのままステージへと持ち込まれ、NONTHEWISERの真骨頂を爆発させる。
母国スウェーデンで同ジャンルの重鎮たちと共演を重ねた後、バンドは23年冬にスカンジナビア・ツアーを敢行、24年秋には大規模なヨーロッパ・ツアーへと乗り出した。
そして今、NONTHEWISERは最新作『Injustice for All』を携え、かつてないほど強烈にカムバックを果たす。増大する世界の闇に対する激しいステートメントだ。全4曲を収録したこのEPは、スピード、メロディ、エモーションというバンドの代名詞的サウンドを提示しつつ、その音を新たな高みへと押し上げている。2ndフルアルバムの制作もすでに始まっており、暗さを増す世界の中で、光速のスピードで車輪を回し続ける彼らの勢いが健在であることを示している。
